Let's review some luxury beauty products today, shall we? Givenchy's summer collection drops next month, so I figured I'd give you all a preview of some of the products: the Mister Radiant primer, the Bonne Mine bronzing powder and the Kohl Couture Waterproof retractable eyeliner.
Hi babes! I hope you're enjoying your weekend. I went out to eat some amazing Lebanese at Tarbouch Antwerp with my girls last night after work, and tomorrow I'm attending a performance of Swan Lake with my sis, which is bound to be mesmerizing. But of course there's work to be done, albeit pleasant work: a thorough review of the Urban Decay XX Vice LTD Reloaded palette!
Urban Decay is celebrating its 20th birthday this year, and this palette is its party gift to its customers: a stunning range of 20 shades, combining new colours with existing classics and a couple discontinued eyeshadows that have been reworked and revamped to deliver at the level of UD's current best. I snapped some pretty pictures, swatched some swatches and put together four looks demonstrating the versatility of the palette. Enjoy!
You couldn't tell by looking out the window, but summer is fast approaching and so are sunny days and tans. If you want to help nature a hand and get a start on that sunkissed glow the healthy way, makeup brands all start throwing typical summertime products at you around this time of year. I received this stunning Urban Decay summer collection comprising an Afterglow Highlighter, a Beached Bronzer and the Naked Skin One & Done. All of these are new additions to the permanent Urban Decay range. Let's take a closer look.
Kryolan is a brand not many of us are familiar with, unless you are as serious about Halloween (or other getting-dressed-up opportunities) as I am. Most party shops carry some Kryolan products, but there's so much more out there. The brand is very popular among make up artists who do speciale effects stuff or editorial looks, as the brand offers quality that rivals brands like MAC, but at a lower price point. Don't let their reputation as a product for professionals scare you away, though: Kryolan offers loads of amazing, affordable products that would work just as well in the makeup bag of your everyday beauty lover. I was sent over three products and some lipstick samples to get to know the brand and introduce you guys to them, so sit tight for a full review.
Hiya! I have blogged about false lashes in the past - I did a post on how to put on individual lashes as well as reviews of the Katy Perry Color Pop lashes and Katy Perry's regular collection of false lashes, but it has taken me until a couple of months ago to really get the hang of strip lashes (false lashes that are all on one band). They're not the easiest to apply, and I always felt self-conscious wearing them because I was scared they'd just pop off in the middle of the day, but I've built up my confidence with falsies and found some false lashes hacks to make the process easier for newbies. Let me repeat those for you:
- be sure to wait long enough for the glue to become tacky before you apply the lashes to your eyelids
- if you've got a particularly full set of falsies with a thick band, cutting up the band in two or three pieces can make application a lot easier
- use a lash curler straight after putting on the lashes so that your lashes and the falsies blend perfectly - makes all the difference!
Anyway, I just received four new boxes of Eylure lashes, from their Enchanted line, and these are seriously amazing because the bands are super thin and light, so you barely feel them on your eye and you can get a super natural (but gorgeous) result. I'm 100% sure that even those who are most intimidated by falsies will find a pair to love here. Check it out!
Hi babes! I bet you are like me in at least one aspect: you love pretty budget makeup. Essence is one of those budget beauty brands I always keep an eye on because they regularly introduce cute new stuff that doesn't break the bank if you get a little too frisky with your little grabby hands. I read about their newest additions to their collection of matte lipsticks, and spotted a couple of gorgeous neutrals when I dropped by my local Kruidvat drugstore. Here's a review of the two beauties I picked up: 06 Don't Stop the Nude and 08 (no name).
