Beauty: Eylure Enchanted false lashes review

Hiya! I have blogged about false lashes in the past - I did a post on how to put on individual lashes as well as reviews of the Katy Perry Color Pop lashes and Katy Perry's regular collection of false lashes, but it has taken me until a couple of months ago to really get the hang of strip lashes (false lashes that are all on one band). They're not the easiest to apply, and I always felt self-conscious wearing them because I was scared they'd just pop off in the middle of the day, but I've built up my confidence with falsies and found some false lashes hacks to make the process easier for newbies. Let me repeat those for you:

- be sure to wait long enough for the glue to become tacky before you apply the lashes to your eyelids
- if you've got a particularly full set of falsies with a thick band, cutting up the band in two or three pieces can make application a lot easier
- use a lash curler straight after putting on the lashes so that your lashes and the falsies blend perfectly - makes all the difference!

Anyway, I just received four new boxes of Eylure lashes, from their Enchanted line, and these are seriously amazing because the bands are super thin and light, so you barely feel them on your eye and you can get a super natural (but gorgeous) result. I'm 100% sure that even those who are most intimidated by falsies will find a pair to love here. Check it out!

The first set of lashes is the Adored style. These have a thin band (more comfortable than a thicker band), and they are wispy and longer in the middle than on the sides (perfect for really opening up your eyes). They're relatively subtle and natural, but they still make your lashes noticeably more moviestar-esque. A gorgeous pair of all-round lashes that would work just as well with daytime makeup as with a more intense smokey eye. Love!

The Forever lashes are basically the pumped up version of the Adored lashes: wispy, longer in the middle than on the sides, but fuller and longer. The band is also thicker, which makes these a bit less comfortable, but the Forever lashes still very wearable. This set looks best with a more intense makeup look, and is more appropriate for nighttime makeup. Very glamorous.

The Eylure Enchanted Beloved lashes are similar to the Adored set, but they still look very different on the eye. The Beloved lashes flare out at the ends, and they're not as full: softer and more subtle. I sort of shot myself in the foot by reviewing the Beloved set paired with the Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama mascara, because they're overpowered by my own spiky lashes. You barely notice these falsies because they are so soft and natural, which shows that this is definitely a daytime set that would be a great option if your own lashes are relatively short or sparse, Or if you just want to add some volume to your own lashes without getting that falsie look.

And here we are with Eylure Enchanted Cherished, my faaaaavourite out of the four and maybe my favourite set of falsies ever. You may have noticed that these look a lot shorter than the other sets, and they are: that's because you wear these only on the outer 2/3rds of your eye. They're slightly spiky, super easy to apply, they blend in with your own lashes perfectly, and they're relatively short but nicely full - it basically looks like you've applied the most amazing mascara even invented. I wore these all day without issue and I love how playful they are because of the short-yet-full design. They sort of mimic the effect of a cat eye and would work really well for someone with smaller eyes or drooping eyelids. FAV!

There you go! The Eylure Enchanted collection offers a lovely selection of natural, romantic lashes for every style or preference. As always, these sets can be reused if you take care of them properly, removing makeup and glue after wearing them and not pinching or pulling the lashes so that you don't ruin their shape. The Enchanted collection lash sets are sadly limited edition, though, so get them while they're hot! These sell at about €7.99 at Di, drugstores like Boots or at various webshops. Which of these is your favourite?
